Kelly Rutherford is Everyone’s New FAVORITE STYLE ICON

Have you somehow noticed that Lily Van Der Woo… er… Kelly Rutherford is on every feed, front row of a fashion show, and mood board? The former Gossip Girl icon is making a return on fashion’s radar and it’s all thanks to her flawless mirror selfies.

Actually, that’s a lie — it’s more than just her elevator snaps. It’s the fact that the woman is the epitome of grace, style, and class. She dresses quite similarly to how the much loved Lily Van Der Woodsen dressed — a mix of high fashion and (somewhat) quiet luxury. She absolutely drips in elegance and has that aspirational wealth look that makes you wish that you, too, could be a middle aged white woman with a second home in the Hamptons. What makes it all so lovable, whoever, is that unlike her fictional television character, Kelly radiates a sweet and warm kindness.

Those of us that grew up in the Gossip Girl era are now coming into an age where we look less up to Serena or Blair, but to the icon of a mother that Lily was. No, we’re not middle aged yet, but it feels more in line to look up to the aspirational Lily than the teenaged high schoolers. Our next goal in life? To become successful adults who dress like respectful badasses. In a moment to commemorate the lovely Kelly, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite looks from everyone’s favorite mother.

Above, I’m loving Kelly Rutherford’s casual style, making jeans and a puffer look absolutely cool and classy.

First of all, how does she always nail the exact same pose. Aside from that, I’m obsessing over this floral blue dress and sleeve accented coat.

I love the mirror selfies, but this full Patou look takes the crown as one of my favorite Kelly Rutherford looks.

Dior loves Kelly, and we do too. And so does the color cream, apparently, because it seems to be a reoccurring color on her feed.

If I wore this, it would not look like anything special at all. But the Kelly effect is that it makes absolutely anything look like it cost a million bucks.
