Editor’s Picks: JUNE FAVORITES
It’s been a scalding minute since I’ve done an editor’s pick, but I promise you it’s worth it. I have seasons in me where I experience fashion fatigue. Everyone around me more or less starts to look the same and I don’t find it within me to dive deep, see what resonates with my tastes. But after a brief hiatus, an inspiring trip to Japan, and some soul searching, I think I found that spark again. This month, I’m adoring mesh midi skirts, low rise denim (yes, still), and touches of red here and there. I’ve been obsessing over the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 shoes, but unfortunately the brand doesn’t release the burgundy version on their site anymore. Instead, I’m linking to a random webpage I found on the internet. A conversation with a friend recently got me into neck scarves, as she sat next to me wrapped in a beautiful self-made scarf made out of traditional Indonesian batik patterns. And while I’m late to the game, I’ve been ditching my gold jewelry more and more in replace of silver… who would have ever guessed. Of course, there’s nothing new in my love for baggy, wide leg pants—I’ve been donning them since middle school after all. The white Bevza option I’ve linked below however is a new take on the style, with cutouts on both sides of the legs, revealing a window to tiny white shorts underneath. And to keep things trendy, I’ve included a balloon skirt from Zara, as I’m not sure how long this style will last and I don’t think I want to splurge on an ephemeral piece. I’ve also been seeing lots of tights-like high socks paired with kitten heels which I’m simply obsessed with. A pair of affordable socks from Calzedonia are linked therefore, too. Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much Wilson (yes, the Tennis brand) improved their apparel! They truly took advantage of the sport coming into trend and made some seriously cute skirts and bra tops. I had so much fun piecing this selection together so I hope you enjoy shopping it just as much!
