Comfy But Professional Outfits TO WEAR AT HOME
It is SO easy to roll out of bed, put on a pot of coffee, and sit your PJ covered body in front of your computer. You go along, chonking away on emails, hoping this extra dark roasted mug of coffee will magically motivate you to get that report finished. If there is one thing I learned over the last two years, it’s that coffee can only motivate you so much. But the combo of coffee + changing into cute clothes? Now THAT’S what’s going to make me face the day with optimism.
It’s possible that your offices have called you back into their buildings full time to bring a sense of what was once normal, back into order. But times have changed, and businesses are (thankfully) acknowledging that no one actually wants to sit 10 hours a day faking smiles and crunching numbers in their buildings (no matter how much free snacks there are). So, in comes the hybrid method. Some days you go into the office, and some days you work from home. This, in my opinion, is the newest of new normals and is what is going to stay for the long run.
So! This brings us to the main theme of the article: What are we going to wear??? Dressing up for your home office is extraordinarily important to get your mind out of the comfort of your bed and into work mode. It will help you stay focused and separate the home-you from the work-you. But we can forget the business suit all togehter. We need something that’s both comfortable, but professional and put together. Something that will make you feel business cute, if you will.
