Comfy But Professional Outfits TO WEAR AT HOME

It is SO easy to roll out of bed, put on a pot of coffee, and sit your PJ covered body in front of your computer. You go along, chonking away on emails, hoping this extra dark roasted mug of coffee will magically motivate you to get that report finished. If there is one thing I learned over the last two years, it’s that coffee can only motivate you so much. But the combo of coffee + changing into cute clothes? Now THAT’S what’s going to make me face the day with optimism.

It’s possible that your offices have called you back into their buildings full time to bring a sense of what was once normal, back into order. But times have changed, and businesses are (thankfully) acknowledging that no one actually wants to sit 10 hours a day faking smiles and crunching numbers in their buildings (no matter how much free snacks there are). So, in comes the hybrid method. Some days you go into the office, and some days you work from home. This, in my opinion, is the newest of new normals and is what is going to stay for the long run.

So! This brings us to the main theme of the article: What are we going to wear??? Dressing up for your home office is extraordinarily important to get your mind out of the comfort of your bed and into work mode. It will help you stay focused and separate the home-you from the work-you. But we can forget the business suit all togehter. We need something that’s both comfortable, but professional and put together. Something that will make you feel business cute, if you will.

The nice thing about it being an at-home office outfit is that you can get away with showing a little skin. This outfit is just the right amount of chic and comfort, with loose fitted pants that don’t suffocate your legs and a silky soft top that ties around your front.

Shirt dresses are a gift to us home office workers. You don’t have to think about piecing together and outfit and instead, just throw over this soft, beautifully designed sweater dress and call it a day.

Something about having a collar makes a top look so business-chic. Now make it knitted and *voila* the comfort factor has been added on. This lovely sweater is actually a bodysuit so rest assured it will stay neatly tucked into your trousers at all times.

Here to add a pop of color to your day! if you’re feeling unmotivated on a particular day, incorporating some funky prints or pops of color to your outfit can boost your mood up a few knotches.

I absolutely ADORE wearing a midi skirt at home. The experience of flowing from the office bedroom to the kitchen to my coffee run is heightened when done in this skirt. Paired with a classic turtleneck, you’ve got yourself an ideal chic winter office look.

Everyone at this point should have at least one pair of suit trousers. They’re elegant, professional, and ridiculously comfortable. So comfortable, you question whether an office outfit is even allowed to feel this good. Match it with a skintight bodysuit tank for that effortlessly classy look.

Matching sets really took 2020 by storm, and absolutely no one is mad about it. This outfit is a triple thread - comfy, unique, and chic. While you might not wear this look to your corporate office, you sure can get away with stunning in it in your bedroom!

Nothing says cozy like a top to bottom knitted outfit. This lovely ivory two piece come paired together (win). Throw over a long sleeve knitted cardigan and you’ve got both a comfy and elegant look to stroll around the house in.

Everyday can be casual Friday at your residences! So grab out your favorite jeans and pair it with this gorgeous classic button down. This shirt made out of 100% cotton is soft to the touch, so you can look and feel absolutely elevated.

What did I say about skirts earlier?! They’re just comfortable, easy to style, and superbly chic. Particularly this piece from NA-KD comes with a matching turtleneck sweater, making you feel put together without compromising the cozy.

Sweatervests are making a comeback, and this cropped one from Recreational Habits is creeping into my fragile little heart, FAST. It’s the original preppy chic look, and is something that fits flawlessly into your at-home office wardrobe.
