3 Steps to Mimic a SUN-KISSED LOOK

I know, I know. More and more blogs and health articles are warning you about the dangers of the sun. And they're not wrong! Early aging, wrinkling, SKIN CANCER… these are just some of the damages too much sun radiation can do to your skin. But… lying on the beachside, feeling the warmth of the sun caressing you, and turning a few sun-kissed shades darker is where you find your best self. So… what do you do?

Or, maybe you don't even care about the sun radiation (although you should). Maybe you're just dreading the changing seasons and fear the darker winter days ahead. The days are shorter, the nights are longer, and the skin is paler. Well, fear less, I'm here to tell you about THREE tips to keep a bit of that sun kissed glow on your face.

  1. Try Pseudo Labs Faux Freckles

It's no secret that sun exposure brings out those cute little freckles that reside on the top of your nose and cheeks. I don't know if it's just me, but I absolutely ADORE when those come out to play. There's nothing like a fresh face with a few playful spots on your face. Pseudo Labs creates faux freckles that you can sprinkle gently onto your face, giving you the most natural looking sun kissed glow. It comes in three different shades, allowing you to create full on beauty marks to the more subtle little freckles.

2. Dab A Little Merit Beauty Blush Across Your Nose

So, blush wasn't actually meant to just sit on top of your cheek bones. Blush is meant to follow the line where the sun kisses your face. I know, it seems so obvious, and yet no one really does it. The first time I saw someone apply blush "correctly" was in Japan. She was a (really friggin cute) barista who had the most subtle yet noticeable little red touch across her nose. I've been using Merit Beauty's blush to mimic this look, and it works like a charm.

3. STOP Doing Too Much On Your Face!

I've been watching more and more of those vogue beauty get-ready-with-me videos, and the thing I cannot stop noticing is how their faces are literally 6 shades paler than the rest of their bodies. Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but you do NOT need a ten step skincare routine… All you need is some quality face wash (which in my opinion, you shouldn't even use everyday), some sunscreen, and a good moisturizer (disclaimer: if you have unique skin needs then naturally follow your dermatologists recommendations ). While it’s important to take good care of your skin, remember that the skin itself knows what it’s doing. It’s not out here trying to turn you into a spotchy prune the first chance it gets. Let it do its thing. Your skincare should support your skin’s natural process, not take over completely.
