The Best Cities to Live in Based On YOUR PERSONALITY
Over the years, I’ve noticed how different versions of me arise depending on the city I live in. New York Bianca is a go-getter, a tough bee, a productive panther. Conversely, she’s easily tired out, agitated, and short tempered. When the same Bianca goes back home to Austria, she’s calm, peaceful, and maybe a little too laid back. It’s led me to wonder what kind of personality traits get amplified when I visit a new city. Walking around Stockholm, I daydream what kind of woman I would have been had I grown up there. Would I be a soft, yet ambitious, mentally-stable citizen of society? Would I even like that? Or would I find the speed of life too slow? There are so many things to consider when picking a place to live. Sometimes, the place you were brought up in isn’t the right fit for you, as it maybe was for your parents. Maybe the hustle and bustle of Tokyo is too much for you, and you prefer to look out the window to see sheep grazing the meadow. Whatever your heart calls, I assure you that there is a place in this world that beats at the same speed as your heart. It’s a journey to get there, but my hope is that this article could at least set your sails in the right direction.
Type: The Soft Girl City Life
You love the city, but don’t love the hustle and bustle. Instead, you enjoy leisurely walks (or bike rides) through town, stopping at well-designed coffee shops and meeting friends for hours. You appreciate the arts and care about fashion. You want the occasional party, rooftop bar, and efficiency of having everything at your fingertips, but want to escape into the forest on the weekends. You don’t want to stress too much about work or society, and expect the nitty gritty details in life (hello health insurance, education, housing) to just work.

Type: The Fast-Paced City Life & The Go-Getters
You need constant action, a city that brings your dreams and ambitions to life. You thrive off of the creativity, the endless opportunities, and the energy of the people and city around you. You’re interested in technology and want to be the first in anything up and coming. Resting makes you feel anxious, and calm people conversely make you agitated. You want early productive mornings, a ten step checklist, and go bar hopping every weekend.

Type: Anonymous By The Ocean
You lean on the introverted side of life, and enjoy spending time with either yourself or your three to four close-knit friends. Nothing makes you feel more fulfilled than feeling the sea breeze, sitting quietly on a rock and watching the sunrise. You enjoy fresh fruits and never checking the time. For you, it’s coffee-o’clock until it’s wine o’clock, and wine o’clock until 9 o’clock, which is when you go to bed. You enjoy the simple things in life, but want to be enriched with culture and art.

Type: Introverted, Book Lovers
Your ideal day is spending twelve hours at home, watching the rain come down your window, sipping hot coffee and curling up to your favorite book. You enjoy people watching, take comfort in routine, and love a tidy space. You prefer to watch people travel, rather than go travel yourself, and get amped up just by visiting your local coffee shop.
