The AMIRO R3 Turbo Review: Is This Skin Tightening Device Better Than NuFace?
I’m a simple girl. You promise me a way to tighten my skin and get a little face lift without needles and I’m in. That’s why I didn’t hesitate to splurge $250 when the Mini NuFace came out. For two years, I used that device religiously, and I have to say, I did notice a decent change in my jawline. A new player has entered the game, however, and her name is Amiro R3 Turbo Facial Skin Tightening Device. When I got my hands on this supposedly stronger facial device I was eager to put it to the test, and after a few months of using it three days a week I can finally share my thoughts.
No shade to the NuFace (to whom I did stay loyal to for two years and have given lots of praise to), but the Amiro R3 is a game changer. It provides the kind of power you can expect at a salon. While I can barely feel the static sensation on the NuFace, the Amiro R3 vibrates straight into the skin and takes some easing into at first.
The Specs
There are four intensity settings. Thinking I’m used to facial devices and wanting the greatest effects, I started right at the highest settings. The vibration ripped through my skin so strongly that my eye started to twitch. I humbly backed right down to level one and even that felt a hundred times stronger than the NuFace device.
There are different settings for the different areas of the face as well. One for around the eyes, one for the forehead, and one for the jawline. Since the latter is my biggest concern, I’ve only tested that setting.
The Experience
Each side takes about two minutes. You are meant to hold it in place until it gives a vibration signal to move to the next spot on the face (I move it upwards along my jaw and my cheeks). Once you’re meant to switch sides, the device gives an indicating beep. The whole thing takes about four minutes, which is much less than the NuFace device which requires me to carve out a whole ten to 15 minutes out of my day.
The Results
What took the NuFace months to achieve, the Amiro R3 did in two weeks. Maybe my eyes aren’t that sensitive, but I don’t necessarily see an immediate change with each usage. But it is very evident that with consistent weekly use (I do three to four times a week), my jowels started to decrease and straighten out. I started to notice in my pictures that you can actually see the contouring on my cheeks without having used my Fenty Contouring Stick (amaze).
Overall Review
My final review? This is amazing. This works. And mind you, this is not a sponsored post. I have such insecurities about fine lines and saggy skin that I’ve searched high and low for ways to lift my jowels and slow down the signs of aging. I hate paying for facials or doing anything high-maintenance at all, so this device feels like a gift from the heavens. Again, the micro-currents are very strong, really nothing “micro” about them at all. The first few sessions can feel a little painful, but what is it they say about beauty again? The Amiro R3 is strong, effective, and fast, which is a huge level up from the NuFace device.
