The world, has opened. Well, at least for the most part and with tons of precautions. Either way, if you wanted to, you can easily search for tickets, check your destinations covid regulations, and book it. How thrilling!

Now I know pre-covid you and 2022 you are probably two different people all together. You may have entered the pandemic with a boo and exited it solo. Or perhaps you’ve just found a new love for spending time alone. Either way, I encourage your next trip to be a solo one. Some of my solo trips have been the most romantic ones yet. There’s nothing like indulging in every single one of your desires with no one to compromise it. You go where you want, walk at your own pace, and pick up as many espressos on the way as you desire.

That being said, certain destinations are more friendly towards the solo globe trotter than others. Not only more friendly, but more romantic. You know, brighter sunsets and cheaper wines kinda vibe. I’ve pulled together the destinations that inspire and encourage self-love the most. So pack your bags ladies and let’s fly!

Tuscany, Italy

This part of Italy is known for its insanely gorgeous landscapes of vineyards and mountains. Most people might flock to its main city: Florence, but I encourage you to book a room somewhere more remote. Indulge in the slow lifestyle that the Italians have perfected. Drink the freshest wines and eat the most filling pastas!

Langkawi, Malaysia

If you’re deep in your feels and really just want to get out, it doesn’t get more remote than Langkawi. It’s a tiny island in Malaysia, lesser known and lesser traveled, but those that have been claim it’s the closest things to paradise. Its got an overall calmness to it which will allow you to truly connect your inner world with the nature around you.

All of New Zealand

I say all of, because it’s a small enough country for you to tour the entire South and North islands in three weeks. This country is known for having some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. Try one of their famous great hikes and have a soulful retreat.

Porto, Portugal

I recently described Porto as the dream city of an introvert. Why? Because it’s got this certain anonymity to it that just feels wholesome. It’s also a book lovers destination, with J.K. Rowling having written a good chunk of Harry Potter here. It’s packed with tiny artsy stores and hidden cafés. And of course, the city itself is one of the most breathtaking ones yet!

Vancouver, Canada

Although I’ve never been, I’ve been dreaming of exploring one of Vancouver’s many natural attraction points. I can only imagine the air there must be so crisp, so clean, that your whole brain would get a refresh from it. I wanna go to the city, go whale watching, and canoe on a glacier all in the same day.
