The Rising Stars of Paris Fashion Week

I’ve always had a soft spot for the underdogs. Maybe it’s because I see a bit of myself in them, having grown up rather unassuming before pouncing onto the world. Maybe it’s because they’re the real stars of the future - the tastemakers for the next generation. And while I’ll leave it to the Vogue’s and the Elle’s of the world to cover the trends on the runways, I like to spotlight the showrooms and the rising stars who don’t carry the same weight as a Louis Vuitton or a Dior.
Before coming to Paris I made a list of designers I wanted to tap into. I wanted to see what Loulou de Saison has been brewing up and what Hoda Kova wanted to showcase this season. And while I didn’t make it around to every showroom, I did manage to pop into some, and for everyone else I eagerly lurked on their Instagrams to see what was in store.
I think it’s time to share that list of the rising stars of Paris fashion week now. Designers that have serious skill and artistry and are going to dictate what really trends on the streets of Paris. That being said, I do want to caveat that not all of these brands are necessarily Parisian. As you know, you don’t have to be a french brand to show during Paris fashion week. You’ll find American, Ukrainian, and Korean brands all the same. If you’re going to keep an eye on any brand, let it be from this following list:
