An Appreciation Post For Silk Scarves

Good morning, world. I must say, ever since getting laid off I’ve been highly enjoying starting my day with a slow routine. Only once I’ve walked my dog, stopped by the gym, and ate a delicious breakfast do I sit down with my coffee and start writing for this website. And there’s nothing quite like doing it all for yourself. I’ve had this article brewing inside of me since summer of last year, but simply haven’t managed to get my ducks in a row long enough to finally talk about the most trending accessory right now: silk scarves. For someone who likes to wear a ton of monochromatic looks, silk scarves add a touch of color that simply takes the fit to the next level.
I’ve always been rather skeptical of silk scarves. Whenever I’d walk into a designer store and pick up a bag, a sales clerk will try to sell me on a matching scarf to go on the top handle. I’d politely refuse — the whole thing was giving too much Hermès, but in the (very) old money and slightly stuffy way. Not anymore, though. I say give me all the silk scarves. I want to wrap it on my purse, around my neck, and in my hair. I’ve been noticing more and more people embracing the chic accessory and getting really creative with how to style it. Fast fashion brands are even starting to release some of their own designs for silk scarves. But I have to say, when it comes to this accessory I recommend going with real silk, rather than polyester. The quality truly shows on such a piece and is worth investing good money in. And if you’ve been on the search for quality silk scarves, I recommend starting with any of the below!
If an Hermés scarf is a little out of budget, I really recommend scrolling through the options at Longchamp. They have similar designs with great quality silk.
I think this Toteme scarf started the scarf obsession for me. The Scandi brand really knows how to elevate simple designs.
And of course, we have the Hermès silk scarf. If you can get past its price point, you’ll have something that will last a lifetime.
Another great selection from Longchamp, this scarf plays into the polo trend.
My first silk scarf was from this Italian label Ballantyne, and its quality is unmatched.
It wouldn’t be a trendy 2025 roundup without something burgundy!
Balancing between quality and affordability is J.Crew. This chic accessory can be tied around the neck, hair, or bag.
The combination of red and blue just scratches my brain in all the right ways.
