These Were The It-Bags of New York Fashion Week

If you haven’t figured it out by now, I’m a bags-girl. I’m also a shoes girl… and an accessories girl… kind of an everything-that-touches-fashion girl? I can’t help it, I’m just a girl, as they say. It’s inevitable, therefore, that cute pieces grab my attention and keep me in a chokehold. This season was the third year I got to partake in New York Fashion Week, and in the middle of the fashion frenzy, a few key trends stood out to me — one of them being the types of bags people were carrying around. As you know, I already expressed my adoration for the return of the slouchy tote, and we’ll get into that a little bit below again. But the fashion capitol really brought its best in the handbag department, letting us know that east-to-west bags, old-school brands like Coach and Tory Burch, and baguette bags are very much in. If I’m being honest, we’re still seeing some familiar styles reigning supreme even through this season, so don’t be surprised to see some repeat looks from last year. From the fashionable attendees at the soirées to the runway models themselves, the message was very clear: these are the trending bags coming out of NYFW.
