STANDOUT PIECES from NYFW Spring 2024 Collections

Some of you may know, but fashion week just blitzed through New York, leaving those involved a little out of breath and slightly blistered on the feet. It’s all worth it, however, to get to see the collections that designers have poured their hearts into creating. It was only my second time attending NYFW this year, and I still haven’t quite gotten the hang of adequately scheduling the shows and events that occur, although I like to think I did a much better job than last year. As I hassled my way from the showings, backstage interviews, runways, and after parties, I made mental notes and collected the pieces that stood out to me as this year’s best pieces of NYFW. The Spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection featured everything from loose silhouettes, drapey mesh dresses, and tailorings that subtly reflected androgynous fashion. We also saw some fun pastel colors, and everything from tiny micro outfits to full-coverage suiting. I have to say, I loved it all, and wanted to feature the stand-out pieces here in this article. I hope you enjoy!

Last but not least, Peter Do took over Helmut Lang’s runway show. Yes, there’s a whirlwind of critique and emotions over this takeover, and the best one i’ve read so far as to be this one from the NY Times. We love Do, and we love Lang, but did the two mix well on this show? …
