Talk of the town is that summer is coming to an end. My response? La-la-la-la I’m not listening!! Jokes aside, I actually really love fall. It’s my favorite season (next to summer). I’m simply not in a rush to let go of sun kissed skin and salty hair.

Summer is notorious for making a dash for the exit (seriously, who is chasing it away??) No matter how much we try to make it feel loved and welcomed, it always finds a way to leave us at the hands of the cold and gloomy. We spend our summers casually tip tapping on our computers for work, just to look up and realize the leaves are already browning. If you feel like summer passed you by without having been able to take a real vacation, I’ve got some tips for you.

It’s not too late to book a quick summer vacation. Chances are you’ve only got a few vacation days on your calendar and are working with a small budget (those bikinis you spent good money on truly left a dent in your finances, huh?) But like, let’s give those well earned bikinis one last chance to shine, shall we? Here are the best last minute and budget friendly vacation spots to book before the end of the summer.

1. Montego Bay, Jamaica

A tropical trip to Jamaica in late September? Honestly, what could be better. Heal your soul, skin, and mind with a quick trip to one of the most beautiful islands this earth has to offer.

2. Turks and Caicos Islands

Turks and Caicos i s well known for their crystal clear waters. That’s why it’s one of everyone’s favorite vacation spots that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to get to.

3. Kauai, Hawaii

Don’t get me wrong, Waikiki, Maui, and all the other islands of Hawaii are all great destinations with their own personals charms. But my heart lies in the natural untouched views in Kauai. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, this is it.

4. Madeira, Portugal

Portugal’s list of “perfect destinations” is truly endless. But closest to the States and oozing tropical vacation vibes is Madeira. This is high up on my own bucket list as well!

5. Aruba

Knows as “one happy island”, you’re definitely going to get a good boost of serotonin if you travel to Aruba. I mean, pink flamingos and blue waters? What could be better.

6. Costa Rica

Costa Rica truly is a lush, rainforesty haven. If you love basking under the trees, finding wild waterfalls, and meeting adorable wild animals, let’s get that booty over to Costa Rica.
