Time to Switch to Your SUMMER SKINCARE ROUTINE

The time has come, everyone, to ditch your winter skincare routines and prepare for more *moist* summer days. That means refreshing your sunscreens, ditching oil-heavy products, and saying goodbye to dry skin altogether. I don’t know about you, but I like to keep my skincare rather minimal. I don’t like to overwhelm my skin (or myself, for that matter), so the products I choose are really here just to give my skin a helping hand, rather than taking over completely. While winter skincare might consist of deep, rich hydration to combat the cold and the dry air, summers should be all about light formulas and cleansers that clear the skin of oils, sweat, and dirt. I’m listing a few sunscreens I’ve recently tried and loved, as well as some other essential summer skincare items to rotate into your vanity.

Sunscreens

Supergoop's Unseen Sunscreen really lives up to its hype. It’s completely see-through and leaves no white cast. The extremely light formula hardly resembles the thick, traditional sunscreens you’re used to, and almost immediately disappears once it comes in contact with your skin.

SPF: 40

I’m a huge fan of Olay’s Regenerist sculpting moisturizer, so when they sent me their SPF whipped version, I was overjoyed. As someone who doesn’t like to layer on too many creams, getting my SPF from my favorite moisturizer is a real treat. At 25SPF, its’ a more casual alternative to the common 50SPF sunscreens.

SPF: 25

This mineral sunscreen glides on more like a milky serum, rather than a thick cream, which makes it feel breathable and lightweight in the summer.

SPF: 30

Vitamin C

I personally use and adore this vitamin C serum. Using this gave me one of those “wow” moments. After consistent use, my skin was visibly tighter and more radiant.

I hear whispers that this is the best Vitamin C serum out there. It claims to lighten dark spots and even out your complexion. One look at the 2,197 reviewers and you’ll find many who confirm this to be true.

Since my Jumiso vitamin C serum has run out, I’ve been using this Olay option. Not only does it come with all the benefits of vitamin C, but it has a broad spectrum SPF 30 protection and moisturizing capabilities as well. It’s a three-in-one product, and feels absolutely amazing on the skin.

Moisturizer

Spring and summer vibes are brought to life with this cherry blossom dewy moisturizer. The clear gel-like formula creates a radiant glow on your skin, making it come alive for the summertime.

Cleanser

In the summer, you want to switch to a gentle cleanser. This non-stripping cleanser comes with added benefits like vitamin C and turmeric that brighten and balance the skin, all while removing the day’s dirt, grime, and makeup.

Glow Serum

Have it, love it, recommend it. The Merit Beauty Great Skin Instant Glow Serum makes you look like you just came back from vacation. I like to wear this on my no-makeup days, and just want something to boost my skin with a little glow.
