Après Ski Fashion is Having a Moment: HERE IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED

For years, and I do mean for YEARS, I protested going skiing with my Austrian dad. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy skiing, it’s just that I’d rather sit in the hut (where it’s warm) and drink my mulled wine and eat my kaiserschmarrn instead. Him, claiming my Austrian citizenship would get revoked if I did not immediately slide down this Alp, believes après ski is only reserved for people that actually ski. I beg to differ.

When I was 15, I studied abroad in Leogang -  a tiny village in Austria hidden in between the alps. After school, everyone would go skiing. And after skiing? It was aprés ski time. While I would kindly decline the offer to ski, I would happily meet everyone for a drink afterwards. Look at me now, over a decade later, working at a magazine and writing about the latest trend: apres ski fashion. I guess it made sense to spend more time at the hut than on the slopes after all.

For anyone that doesn’t know, après ski refers to the time spent drinking at the hut after a day of skiing. I’m obviously here to bring forth outfit ideas for you to wear at these gatherings. My inbox has been FILLED with après ski outfit pitches, so I’m highlighting my favorite picks and listing them down below. Enjoy!
